This was excellent! It's got me thinking if there are any other physical locations we go to regularly that are/could be the "Erewhon for X". Equinox did gyms.. Opticians? Pet stores? Petrol stations?
First of all its luxury nature, creating a brand identity around that which can be leveraged to turn the physical space into a gathering place. I think for businesses that have a physical location, a lot of them don't take advantage of the asset they have. Most shops you go to, you just want to get in and out, which is why most high streets are a bit depressing. The only places for people to hang out are bars and restaurants, but I feel there's loads more opportunity to create communities and value for so many other categories of good and services.

Thanks! When you use Erewhon in this case, which aspect of it are you emphasizing? Being used as a gathering place or it’s luxury nature?
